Would you like to lose weight but find that you can't get motivated? Weight loss can be a real challenge. You don't know which diet will work for you, and you don't have a lot of time to attend classes and buy special foods. The result is that you do nothing, except become more and more unhappy about your weight.
In this article we'll look at how you can get motivated, and change your life by losing weight.
1. What Do You Believe? Your Beliefs Rule Your Life
As the old saying goes, whether you believe you can, or you believe you can't, you're always right. Choose to believe that you CAN lose weight. It's vital that you change your perceptions so that you feel that weight loss is possible for you.

If you are not 100 per cent certain that you can lose weight, make a list of the reasons why weight loss is impossible for you. Take a piece of paper, and write this: "Weight loss is impossible for me because --"
Make a list of as many reasons as you can. You'll find that when you write them down, most of your reasons look silly -- they're not real reasons at all.
2. Why Do You Want to Lose Weight? Get Goals
Now that you've looked at your reasons why you can't lose weight, make another list.
This time list all the reasons you have for wanting to lose weight. Your reasons could be many, they could include: wanting to look better, wanting to feel better, wanting to do fun activities with your children and with your partner, and perhaps the most vital reason of all -- wanting good health.
Look at the list of reasons you've made. Turn some of those reasons into goals.
3. Eat for Pleasure: Take Time to Enjoy Your Food
When you're overweight, you don't enjoy your food. You may feel hungry, but many meals are spoiled for you because you feel guilty for eating. Decide that you will lose weight, and take the time to enjoy your food. Eat what you really want to eat, and enjoy every bite.
4. Keep a Diet Diary: It Makes All the Difference
A food diary, also called a diet diary, is a powerful weight loss tool. Get a notebook and write down everything you eat and drink, and how you feel at that time. Tracking your emotions will show you which emotions trigger comfort eating, or binge eating.
Now you have weight loss goals, don't make any changes to your usual diet for at least a week.
When it's time for you to take active steps towards losing weight, you'll know it -- you'll be motivated.
This feeling of motivation arises from within you. You'll be amazed at how quickly you'll lose pounds and will achieve your weight loss goals once real determination arises.
